FISH AND CHIPS
It is a very popular dish fast food temperature and climate. The dish consists of different types of fish (especially cod and hake) with flour and egg batter accompanied by fries which usually add salt and vinegar.
SUNDAY ROAST
So named because it typically involves taking Sunday roast various meats (pork, lamb terneraó) accompanied by roasted potatoes, yorkshire pudding (like a vol-au-vent vacuum), sausages and seasonal vegetables all washed down with a thick sauce made with onions and gravy (gravy)
Bangers and mash
They are sausages with mashed potato. The sausages can be of various types and the mashed potato is natural. In this dish it is also added gravy.
Shepherd's PIE ("shepherd's pie")
Consisting of a layer of minced lamb and mashed coated patata.La minced meat is fried with onions, gisantes, carrots and other vegetables; when done is added a layer consisting of mashed potato and baked in the oven until golden and crisp set.
Other variants are standing Cottage (if made with veal.) And fish pie (with fish).
FEET (PIES)
They are similar to our empanadas, the most common are chicken with mushrooms (chicken and mushroom), veal kidneys (steak and kidney) and beef to beer (steak and ale), all of which are served with gravy and usually potatoes and vegetables.
Bubble and squeak
It is a dish made with remains of vegetables the previous day, usually the Sunday roast to fry all together. The main ingredients are cabbage, potatoes, carrots, beans, Brussels sprouts and other vegetables that is at hand.
TOAD IN THE HOLE (literally toad in the hole)
They are sausages in Yorkshire pudding mass, usually served with vegetables and gravy.
PLOUGHMAN'S LUNCH (literally "farmer lunch")
It is a cold appetizer that is usually served in pubs and consists of a plate with a few pieces of cheese (cheddar normally) pickles or onions in vinaigrette, bread and butter.
